Randy Westmoreland

Randy Westmoreland is tubist and music educator, residing in Holt, Michigan. He serves as the instructor of applied tuba and euphonium at Hillsdale College, Alma College, and Siena Heights University, all located in middle/southern Michigan. His other duties at these schools include teaching Brass Pedagogy, coaching chamber music ensembles and coaching orchestral students. Randy is also the applied instructor of tuba and euphonium for Grand Ledge High School, one of the premier music education programs in Michigan. He received his Bachelor of Music Education at Michigan State University where he studied with Phil Sinder and his Master of Music from the University of Notre Dame where he studied with Rex Martin.

Randy has served as the principal tubist for the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and the Motor City Symphony Orchestra since 2011. He frequently performs with other ensembles in the area including the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, the Flint Symphony Orchestra, the Midland Symphony Orchestra, the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, the West Michigan Symphony Orchestra and the Toledo Symphony Orchestra. He was a founding member of the Capital City Brass Band, which he performed with for nine years. Randy has served as an adjudicator and clinician throughout Michigan and serves on the Board of Directors for the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium and Tuba Festival.
